Died 12 November 1917 aged 35 at King George's Hospital, London from wounds received in action in France.

Son of the late James and Jane Phillips, of Creca, Annan, Dumfriesshire, husband of Mary Phillips, 4 Midnunnery, Ferregles, Dumfries.

At rest at Rigg Cemetery, Dumfriesshire.
