Extended Description
James McMORINE. Engine Room Artificer 1st Class 271525, Royal Navy on HMS Gloucester. Born 8th February 1881 at Birkenhead, Cheshire to William and Sarah McMorine, nee Jones , enlisted 22nd February 1904, occupation prior to enlistment, engine fitter. In 1911 he was living with his wife and son, William James aged 4 at 7 St Vincent Street, Devonport. Rank Engine Room Artificer, Royal Navy. In 1911 he was living with his wife, Charlotte and daughter, Nellie aged 8 months at 39 Paddington Road, Portsmouth. His rank, Torpedo Gunner's Mate. Died 19th September 1913 aged 32 of appenditics in a hospital in Malta. His widow (Florence Katherine nee Flower who he married 1905 at Plymouth) was informed of his death 19th September 1913.

At rest in Plot B Grave 221, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta. Unmarked burial.
