WALSH, James Henry. Driver 678, Royal Horse Artillery died 14th August 1915 aged 29. He was the of Annie Louise. O\'Donnell (formerly Walsh, nee Humphries), of 10, Brook Street, Leamington Spa. He is at rest in Whitnash Road, Cemetery, Leamington, Warwickshire.
The following notes are from his army record when he joined the Cheshire Regiment.
He joined up on the 30th November 1914 at Birkenhead, Merseyside aged 27 years and 264 days. He lived with his wife and children at 10, Brook Street, Leamington, and he was employed as a labourer. He was posted as Private 19158, 15th Service Battalion, 1st Birkenhead, Cheshire Regiment. On the 27th February 1915 he was discharged medical unfit and not likely to become an efficient soldier. He was suffering from haemorrhoids. He was married on the 17th March 1909 to Annie Louise Humphries at Leamington Registry Office. They had the following children. Lucy L, born 20th April 1910, Annie Louise, born 16th May 1911 and Henry James, born 28th December 1912, all at Leamington.
