E. EA. A. 662. DUFFY JAMES FREDERICK Private 4777 1st Bt. Lancashire Fusiliers. Died 22 August 1915 aged 26 years. Son of Frederick Duffy of Manchester. Husband of Ellen Duffy 9 Berwick Street, Chortlon-on-Medlock, Manchester.

E. EA. A. 662. Thomas John LAHEY. Private 1386, 15th Australian Infantry. Born at Melton, Tasmania and enlisted at Claremont, Tasmania 25th November 1914 aged 27 and 5 months, occupation, farmer. His sister, Ellen Mary Lahey was his next of kin. He was taken ill at Mudros 17th July 1915 and treated at 3rd Field Ambulance suffering from diarrhoea. 18th July 1915 he was admitted to a hospital at Gallipoli. The 26th July 1915 he returned to his base at Mudros. 29th July 1915 he was invalided to Malta on Hospital Ship, Gloucester Castle and was admitted Military Hospital Floriana, Malta 31st July 1915 suffering from gastritis he was then transferred to a Civil Asylum in Valletta, Malta 17th August 1915 where he died of bronchopneumonia 23rd August 1915.

King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) Born 1879 at Eccels, Lancashire to Julia nee Burns and Thomas Muldoon. 1881 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 7, Back of Timothy Street, Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire. 1891 residing with father (widower) and his siblings at 35 Davis Street, Eccles, Lancashire. 1901 residing at Barton upon Irwell Union Workhouse, Green Lane, Paticroft. Married Hannah Evans at Barton upon Irwell January 1915. Died 25 August 1915. From Eccles Manchester. His widow Hannah was granted a war gratuity 9 December 1915, revised 1 March 1916 and 31 July 1919.
