James Blair STERLING. 3rd Engineer 125385 Merchant Navy on S.S. Jazenar. Born 1894 to Wesley and Margaret. 1901 residing with is parents and siblings at 108 Crimea Street, Belfast, Ireland. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings (one being Walter Ambrose Sterling aged 7 years, at 2 Loftus Street, Belfast, occupation aged 17 apprentice engineer. At time of his death his parents were residing at 68 Newport Street, Belfast.

Mercantile Ribbon issued 5 September 1919. British War Medal issued 22 January 1924. Died 14 July 1924 at Campbell Hospital, Calcutta, India. His effects went to his father, a driller at Harland and Wolff shipyard, Belfast.

Commemorated on a family memorial in Plot B5. Grave 166, Dundonald Cemetery, Dundonald, Northern Ireland.

Walter Ambrose STERLING. Private 2nd Class 310462 Royal Air Force stationed at RAF Woking, Surrey. Born 18 March 1904 to Wesley and Margaret at 35 Beresford Street, Belfast. At the time of his death his parents were residing at 68 Newport Street, Belfast. Died of pneumonia at Blandford Military Hospital, Dorsetshire 5 November 1918 aged 14 years. His father was granted a war gratuity 17 September 1919.
