James Anthony Hamilton (Tony) Cartland, Captain 58095, 2nd The Lincolnshire Regiment killed in action near Ypres, 29th May 1940 aged 27.

Buried in Zuidschote Churchyard, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
His brother Captain John died the following day.

Commemorated on a family war memorial at Tewkesbury Abbey, Gloucestershire.

His Brother -
John Ronald Hamilton Cartland, M.P., Major 70394, 53rd Worcestershire Yeomanry, Anti Tank Regiment, Royal Artillery who was killed near Cassell 30 May 1940 aged 33. He was Member of Parliament for Kings Norton Division of Birmingham, 1935-1940.
Buried at Hotton War cemetery, Luxembourge, Belgium

His sister was Barbara Cartland, authoress.
