James Alfred HOUGHTON

HOUGHTON James Alfred. Corporal, Wheeler, 711771, C Battery, 298th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, killed in action in France 19th July 1917 aged 35. He was the son of John and Elizabeth of "Menin" Station Road, Fearnhead, Warrington, Lancashire, and brother of Lieutenant John who also fell in the war. He was the husband of Henrietta of Moss Croft, Croft, near Warrington, Lancashire He is commemorated on his parents memorial in Christ Church churchyard, Croft, Lancashire and is at rest in Spoilbank Cemetery, Belgium (Wills and Admin, Ancestry have another address, 51, Larkhill, Blackburn)
