HMS Plymouth damaged after air attack by five Argentine Dagger (Mirage V) aircraft.
She managed to destroy 2 aircraft and damage 2 others. She suffered heavy damage but was later repaired and continued the fight. Five crew were injured during the attack but eventually recovered from their injury.
I hate to see this. Why don't they sell her to a museum? Even sinking her so that she becoms a sanctuary for corals and fish would be more dignified than this.
I agree mate but what she means to her country does not mean a thing when money comes into play. Our Government is happy to destroy all our heritage without a care in the world because its cheaper
A ship that has served us so well deserves more respect.
Hehe, I wanted to lecture you about - what we call "ham method" here - where I come from, you know, slicing off rights, privileges and so on, by the government - if you let them... but then I remembered how the archaeologists discovered ancient Celtic city underneath the Castle in Bratislava, and those rotten bastards from the nearby House of Parliament built a giant garage and leisure time center upon it Ehm... I think I... I think I´m slowly becoming a Machiavellist.
