Herbert CLARK, Private, 3028, 1st/7th Battalion, Essex Regiment, died 10th September 1915 He was born at Grays, and lived at Walthamstow, both of Essex. He was the son of James and Catherine. His mother was granted a war gratuity 31 January 1916 revised 18 August 1919.
Victor ELLIS, Private, 367, C Coy, 5th Battalion, 1st Division, Australian Infantry. Died of dysentery, 8 September 1915 on board Hospital Ship Huntsend. The son of William Charles and Anna Ellis, of 6 Clara Street, South Yarra, Victoria, Australia.

He joined up 15 August 1914 aged 24 years and 10 months, at Prahran, Victoria. His occupation prior to enlistment, iron dresser and he resided with his mother at 6 Clara Street, South Yarra, Victoria. He had previously served with 56 Bath Senior Cadets, Victoria. On the 21 October 1914 he embarked for Egypt on HMAT A30 Orireto. He was wounded in the thigh whilst on active service at the Dardanelles on the 25 April 1915 was invalided (date not recorded) to Malta on HMAT A46, Clan MacGillivray and admitted 4 May 1915 into Military Hospital, Tigne, Malta. He was discharged fit for duty 17 July 1915 and embarked Malta for Egypt on ship, Seeang Bee. 16 July 1915 he was admitted into Overseas Base, Moustapha, Alexandria. 19th July embarked from Alexandria on HMTS Knight Templar for the Dardenelles 25th July he rejoined his unit at Anzac. 30 August 1915 he was admitted into 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station suffering from Febrile (fever), transferred to Mudros. He was invalided from Murdros to Malta on Hospital Ship, Huntsend (date not recorded). He died in transit to Malta on the 8 September 1915 at 2-19pm from dysentery. Taken on shore at Malta for burial at Pieta on the 9 September 1915 given full military honours and service was officiated by Chaplin E.E. Smith.
His mother in 1925 was residing at 89 Clarence Street, North Fitzroy, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Malcolm Bruce OLIVER, Private, 1554, 12th Battalion, Australian Infantry. Died of pneumonia, 6th September 1915.

He joined up aged 18 on the 30th November 1914 and was by occupation a labourer. After he had completed his training he left Australia for Gallipoli in December 1915. On the 7th August 1915 he was wounded in the left arm by shrapnel from a bomb. He was treated at the 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station and was later transferred to 3rd Field Ambulance Dressing Station at Mudros. In the meantime he was reported missing at Gallipoli on the 9th August 1915 while serving with the 12th Battalion, this was later noted as an incorrect report. He was sent to a hospital in Malta on Hospital Ship, Dunluce Castle on the 12th August 1915 and admitted on the same day into Military Hospital Valletta where he died of pneumonia on the 6th September 1915 and was laid to rest the same day at Pieta by Chaplin E E Smith.
