Sergeant Henry Samuel ROBERTS No. 240987 1st/6th Cheshire Regiment.
Died in action near Cambrai 16 February 1918 aged 28.

Son of Samuel and Emily Eliza Roberts nee Rawlings. In 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at Wistanswick Farm, Market Drayton, Shropshire, occupation elementary school teacher. At rest at Fins, France.

Wills and Admin Ancestry - He resided at Holmlea Wollerton Market Drayton, Shropshire died in France 16 February 1918. Administration with Will limited London 3 November 1919 to Thomas Henry Roberts, farmer, attorney of Samuel Roberts. £202. 15s 1d.

Commemorated on a family headstone at

Stoke upon Tern St Peter Churchyard, Shropshire.
