Henry PORCH

Henry PORCH.
Retired Naval Pensioner. Born 1 January 1845 on Portsea Island, Hampshire to Henry and Amelia Porch nee Vincent. In 1851 he was residing with his widowed mother and siblings at Black Street, Gosport, Hampshire. On the 1 January 1871 he joined the Royal Navy as Stoker 79869 for 10 years on HMS Hibernia. On the 5 February 1881 he continued service for a further 10 years.
He married Lorenza Vella in Malta 8 February 1881. He left the navy 10 January 1890 off HMS Hibernia. He died 30 January 1897 in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta of acute nephritis aged 52 years. His wife died 1920 in Malta.

Both are buried in Malta, location not known.
