Henry Patrick (Harry) Shea. Bandsman 1/9867, 5th Connaught Rangers. Born 1 September 1895 at St Georges, Newington, London, baptised 15 September 1895 at Lorrimore Square St Paul, Southwark, parents Robert William (Porter) and Catherine Shea, of 9 Danson Road, Newington, Southwark later of 41, Leman Street, Wandsworth Road, London. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings in Malta. In 1911 now serving with the 1st Connaught Rangers in India Died of wounds 3rd October 1916 at Salonika, Greece aged 21. War Gratuity was granted on the 15 May 1917 to his father Private G/674 Robert William Shea, 1st Garrison Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers stationed at Colaba Barracks, Bombay, revised 27 September 1919 to his father. At rest in Struma Military Cemetery, Greece.
