Henry Mashford STAPLES. Staff Sergeant 1466413 11th Heavy Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery. Son of Henry and Mary Staples, nee Sinfield, husband of Constance Mary Staples nee Weale. Born 3 July 1912 at Featherstone, Yorkshire, died 8th April 1942 aged 29. He leaves a widow and a daughter, Elizabeth Jill. born 1938. died 8 December 2017. Her ashes were spread on her father grave prior to 13th September 2018, now they are reunited. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta. P6/R5/G11

He resided at Carlton, Pontefract died on war service his effects went to Stanley Weale bank official.

William Robinson LOGUE. Private 7382585, Royal Army Medical Corps, 39 General Hospital, Malta son of James Neely. and Frances Mary Logue, nee Bozman of Ardrossan, Ayrshire, husband of Ann Logue. Born Londonderry Ireland in 1903
On the 25th April 1942 German Stuka Dive Bombers attacked 39 General Hospital, St Andrews Barracks, Pembroke, Malta with 500 to 2000 lb bombs. He and six other men from the hospital were killed in the second attack at 12-15 when a 2000 lb bomb his their slit trench near E block. He was aged 21 years.

Samuel John PURVIS. Fusilier 6979112, 2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers, aged 23 years. The son of George and Jane Purvis (nee McMaster), of Cookstown, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
He may have been killed at St Andrew Barracks, Pembroke, Malta on the 25th April 1942 when German Stuka dive bombers were attacking 39 General Hospital in the barracks. He was aged 23 years.

Thomas Harley BRODIE. Gunner 1599508, 32nd Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery. Son of James and Jean Brodie, of Stirling, Scotland, husband of Jessie Brodie, of Stirling. Died 1st May 1942

All at rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot 6. Row 5. Grave 11.
