Major Henry Lloyd Evans
Major 17th Regiment Bombay Infantry
His wife Frances Money Evans (nee Gambier) aged 26 (married 4 July 1854 at Leckhampton St Peter's church and both resided at Leckhampton)
Their children -
Fanny Rolanda Evans aged 2 years
Frederic Lloyd Gambier Evans aged 9 Months
All died together 20 June 1857 at Cawnpoor after being crushed by the fall of the roof of the Barracks, struck down by Cannon shot on the 16th day of the Siege.
"Thus by God's Mercy they were rescued from the final Massacre."
Also -
Lieutenant Charles Henry FitzRoy Gambier 38th Regiment Bengal Infantry.
Mortally wounded in the assault of Delhi
Died 18 September 1867 aged 23 years.

All commemorated on a plaque in Leckhampton St Peter Church, Gloucestershire.
