Son of Sophia Elizabeth nee Thomas and late Sydney Oliver of Trail British Columbia and son of Sydney who also fell and brother of William Evelyn Buried at Bois-Carre British Cemetery, Thelus, France

Son of James and Dora Oliver of Hartington and husband of Sophia E Oliver of Trail, British Columbia had father of William Evelyn who also fell on the same day, the same battle and both commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial Ypres, Belgium
