E. EA. A. 667. DOUGHERTY HARRY Corporal 3885 6th Bn. York and Lancaster Regiment. Died 2 September 1915 aged 40 years. Son of the late Daniel and Ellen Dougherty, Barnsley.
E. EA. A. 667. KANE PATRICK Private 2123 1st/5th Bn. Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. Died 4 September 1915 From Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
E. EA. A. 667. John RILEY. Private 2221, 3rd Australian Infantry. Born at Sydney also enlisted at Sydney, New South Wales 10th May 1915 aged 18 and 5 months, occupation, cleaner. His mother, Mary of Commordore Street, North Sydney was his next of kin. He embarked from Sydney to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force on H.M.A.T. A73, Karode. He was taken on strength with his unit at Gallipoli on the 4th August 1915. 7th August 1915 he was wounded and treated at No 3 Field Ambulance, Gallipoli. Invalided to Malta on Hospital Ship. Dunluce Castle and admitted into Military Hospital, Valletta 12th August 1915 where he died 2nd September 1915 from gunshot wounds to chest and lungs.
