Son William Ashton, and of Alice, his wife, formerly of Manchester, now of Ramsgreave Road, Wilpshire, Blackburn, Lancs.
Executed for desertion 08 July 1917 aged 20 years.
At rest in Karasouli Military Cemetery, Greece.
His widow was granted a war gratuity 22 November 1917 revised 12 February 1918
