HOLDICH Harold Adrian. D.S.O. Brigadier General. 1874 - 1964. (20th March 1874 - 11th March 1964) Lived at Cherry Hill with his wife, Gertrude Elizabeth, nee Brooke, 1879 - 1967. He is at rest with his wife in All Saints Churchyard, Brandsby, Yorkshire.
He was married aged 36, Captain, Indian Army, lived in London. on the 15th June 1910 Honley Parish Church, Yorkshire to Gertrude Elizabeth Brooke aged 30. His father was Colonel, Royal Engineers Thomas Hungerford Holdich, K.C.M.G., K.C.I.E., C.B.
Served with the 5th Gurkha Rifles, Lt Colonel with Headquarter, 16th Poona Brigade.
Mentioned in Despatches. London Gazette 5th April 1916 page 3668
War Office, 5th April, 1916.
The Government of India has forwarded for
publication in the London Gazette the undermentioned list of officers and men whose names have been mentioned in despatches from the General Officer Commanding for services in
connection with the operations in Mesopotamia from 6th November, 1914, up to 14th April, 1915.
