Gifford, Edward Robert

Lieutenant on board H.M.S. Eurydice lost at sea on the 24th March 1878 when the ship capsized off Dunnose, Cuddicombe, Isle of Wight. He was the son of Lord Robert Francis Gifford and the Hon, Fredricia Charlotte Fitzhardinge Berkeley. He was born November 1853, entered into the Royal Navy 1871 became Sub-Lieutenant 1874 and Lieutenant 1874
