Extended Description: Gertrude Mary GILTINAN. Nurse VAD at 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester

Born 9 November 1881 Evergreen Terrace, Briars Walk Cork, Ireland to Daniel Francis and Elizabeth Josephine Giltinan nee Saunders. (Birth registered as Gertrude Giltinan)
1901 residing with her parents at Blackrock, County Cork. 1911 aged 29 with her parents and siblings at 32 Gurteenaspig, Bishopstown, County Cork. Residence (September 1918) 12 Park View, Victoria Road, Cork, Ireland

Died from Spanish flu followed by pneumonia in the registration district of Chorlton, Lancashire 18 November 1918 aged 29.

A gratuity was granted 09 May 1919 to her sister Miss Nora S. Giltman.

Commemorated on the Brookwood 1914-1918 Memorial, Surrey
