George STURDY. Second Lieutenant, 6th York and Lancaster Regiment, fell in action in Flanders 9th October 1917 aged 21. Grandson of John and Elizabeth Passman and nephew of Edwin Passman who fell in 1917. Son of John William and Lily Sturdy, of Gas Offices, Easingwold, Commemorated on his grandparents memorial in St John the Baptist and All Saints Churchyard, Easingwold, Yorkshire also on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
