George Stringer TAYLOR

TAYLOR, George Stringer, Flight Lieutenant, Pilot, 391849, 3 Squadron Royal New Zealand Air Force. He was involved in an aircraft accident and died of his injuries at Horton General Hospita, Banbury on the 9th February 1943 aged 24. Enlisted on the 2nd October 1939 aged 21, trained with 6, Operational Training Unit as Pilot Sergeant He was born on the 20th July 1918 at Oamartu, Otago, New Zealand. His next of kin was his father William John. He was married on the 12th July 1940 to Betty, nee McMean of Weaverham. At rest in St Mary’s Churchyard, Weaverham
