JACKSON George, Private, 7627, 1st/4th King’s Own Scottish Borderers. Died 29th July 1915, aged 22 years either at sea or at Malta from wounds received or disease contracted whilst on active service at the Dardanelles . Born at Lilliesleaf Roxburgh to George and Agnes Jackson, of Hawick, Roxburgh.
KING Frederick William. Private, 10858, 7th Gloucestershire Regiment. Died of dysentery 28th July 1915 at Imtarfa Military Hospital, Malta. Born at Warnborough, Wiltshire and enlisted at Stroud, Gloucestershire son of Phoebe nee Ferris who was granted a war gratuity on the 1st December 1915. In 1911 aged 16 he was living with his widowed mother and siblings at 20 Clifton Street, Swindon, Wiltshire. His father was called William Thomas.
