George Francis Augustus VENABLES-VERNON

VERNON. True surname is VENABLES-VERNON, Lord, George Francis Augustus, 8th Baron, Captain, Derbyshire Yeomanry who died in St Andrews Hospital, Malta of illness contracted in Gallipoli, 10th November 1915 aged 27.
(Extract from the New York Times, dated 12th November 1915) He was once in the Diplomatic Service having been Honorary Attache at Constaninople in 1908 and attached to the Legation at Munich from 1909 until the outbreak of the war. He was a page boy at King Edwards Coronation. Son of Captain, George William Henry and Frances Margaret nee Lawrence.
