EASON George Charles. Private, 2088, 1st/3rd East Anglian Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps, died 7th December 1915. Born in 1895 at Hoxton, Middlesex, to George James and Sarah Ann Fanny of 91 Chestnut Avenue, Walthamstow, Essex. Occupation in 1911 aged 16, upholsterer.
BOWNESS Joseph Hartley. Private, 1664, 6th Battalion, King’s Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Taken ill in Mesopotamia and died in Malta 8th December 1915, aged 39 years. The son of Thomas and Margaret Bowness, of Great Strickland, Westmorland, and husband of Jane Elizabeth Bowness, of 15 Claremont View, Bowerham, Lancaster. A treasured memory.
MILLER Ernest James. Private, 13788, 7th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment. Fell ill in Gallipoli and died in Malta 9th December 1915. Born in 1895 in Gloucester to James and Ellen of 73 Howard Street, Gloucester City. In 1911 aged 16 he was a butcher boy.
