Geoff BLORE. 1930-2013.
An evacuee, athlete, RAF serviceman, husband, father, grand-father, inventor and author. Ever the optimist, he was always making new plane and probably still thinks that next year will be his best. He was much loved and sadly missed.
He died of his injuries in hospital on the 15th January 2013 following a collision with a car whilst riding his cycle on the B4361 in Leominster the same day, he was aged 82. He served his national service in the RAF late 40s and early 50s.
This memorial plaque is at the Royal Auxiliary Air Force Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire. https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/2013/01/22/family-pays-tribute-to-war-book-author-geoff-blore/
