- This is where i started my Military Service, in 1968
the Barracks started life as a RAF Station, then became a naval Station, HMS Gamecock then finished up as a Army training establishment for the JLRRA Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Artillery.
My Brk Block is just center of the image 'H' Block, Ironside on the ground floor and parks troop up stairs, fond memories of sunbathing on the flat roof in summer in summer keeping an eye on the guardroom in the distance.
