G058 WILLIAM CHARLES WHITE. Engineer Sub-Lieutenant, Royal Navy Reserve on Troop Transport, HMS Snaefell. Born 15 June 1883 to Reverend Patrick William and Ann Patricia Moore White, nee Haggart of Carlton, Carolan Road, Belfast, Ireland. Died in Bighi Royal Naval Hospital, Malta 15th June 1918 aged 35 years from serious wounds when his ship was torpedoed from German Submarine U105. The ship was on route from Alexandria to Malta. Only three lives were lost. His father of The Manse, Stonebridge, Clones, Ireland, was informed of his death. (His father died 30 July 1924 at Carolan Road).

At rest in Plot G grave 58 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
