G049 PETER MACLACHLAN. Master Merchant Navy on cargo ship S.S. Bellorado. Born 1865 died on his ship through enemy action 27 February 1917 aged 52 years, when the ship was fired upon by German submarine UC22 the same day near Malta, en-route from Barry, South Wales to Alexander. Son of Malcolm and Janet MacLachlan, of Glasgow. Husband of Rose MacLachlan, of 131 Worcester Road, Bootle, Liverpool.

At rest in Plot G grave 49 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
