G126 ETHEL LOUISE BOOTH Wife of Herbert Cyril Swanley Booth, Senior Pharmacist at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta. Died 9th May 1936 aged 53 at the King George V Hospital, Valletta, Malta.

At rest in Plot G grave 126 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.

Ethel Louise RYALL was married in 1905 in Devonport to Herbert Cyril Swanley Booth. In 1911 she was living with her husband and children in married quarters connected to Royal Navy Hospital, Chatham. His occupation was chemist and druggist. Prior to her death her address was given as The Royal Navy Hospital, Malta. These would have been married quarters at the hospital site.

Herbert Cyril Swanley Booth was born in 1877 at St Albans, Hertfordshire to John and Esther Ann. His father died in 1879 and in 1881 he was living with his widowed mother and siblings at St Albans. In 1911 his mother was a boarder at 17th Etna Street, St Albans.
In 1901 Herbert was working in a chemist as an assistant to Albert Pollard. Chemist at 3 The Parade, Margate, Kent, this address was a chemist and residence of Mr Pollard and his family. In 1911 he was married and living with his wife Ethel Louise and their children at the Royal Navy Hospital Chatham, occupation, Chemist and Druggist. He died on the 16th July 1960 at Musters Road, West Bridford, Nottinghamshire and his residence was Redlands Tollerton Lane, Tollerton, Nottinghamshire.
Herbert started to work in His Majesty's Medical Establishments on the 21 April 1903 as a dispenser at the Royal Hospital, Plymouth, then Royal Hospital Chatham, 12th April 1905. He was then in charge of the dispensary stores on the 22nd June 1912 at the Royal Hospital Portland. 6th March 1916 Assistant Pharmacists at the Royal Hospital, Plymouth and many other hospitals. He was senior pharmacist working on the 6th April 1929 at Royal Hospital, Plymouth. 20th September 1933 he was senior chemist employed at the Royal Hospital, Malta.
