McKEAN Frederick Robert. Private, 2071, A Squadron, Fife and Forfar Yeomanry, died 10th December 1915, aged 23 years. The son of John and Margaret McKean, of Birchburn, Shiskine, Isle of Arran.

COLCLOUGH George. Private, 18085, 8th Northumberland Fusiliers. Died of dysentery 9th December 1915 in Malta. Native of Golden Hill, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. Brother to John, Harry, Hannah, Elizabeth, and Martha who were all granted part shares of a war gratuity on the 15th March 1916.

WILSON James. Private, 13894, 6th East Yorkshire Regiment. Died of wounds 9th December 1915 in Malta from injuries received at the Dardanelles. Born at Easington Lane, County Durham, lived at
Hetton-le-Hole, Sutherland
Some notes from what remains of his army records.
He joined up at Beverley, on the 27th October 1914 aged 20 years and 7 months occupation, miner. He lived at 137 Elsmere Lane, Easington Lane, Hetton-le-Hole, County Durham. His father of the same address was his next of kin. On the 21st September 1915 he embarked for the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. On the 18th November 1915 he was wounded by shrapnel in his buttocks at the Dardanelles. He was treated the same day at 54 Casualty Clearing Station Suvla Bay. Date unknown he was invalided to a hospital in Malta where he died of his wounds on the 9th December 1915.
