Frederick James WOOLCOTT. Private 16440, 1st Gloucestershire Regiment. transf. to (385768) Labour Corps.
Born 1878 to Albert William and Sophia Woolcott, of Fletchers Alley, Tewkesbury,
1911 with his widowed mother and sibling Albert William at Fletchers Alley, Barton Street, Tewkesbury, occupation bricklayer’s labourer. In France 18 February 1915 discharged 29 April 1919 to Class Z, Army Reserve.
Died 25th August 1920 aged 42. Last known address was Fletchers Alley, Tewkesbury. Laid to 28 August 1920 in Tewkesbury Cemetery
Commemorated on the Tewkesbury War Memorial, k/a The Cross.

His brother fought in the Great War from 23 November 1914 as Private 16050, 3rd Gloucestershire Regiment. Transferred 28 April 1917 to the Royal Army Service Corps as Private 325726. Demobilised 2 February 1919.
