MORRIS Frederick Hawthorne. Able Seaman J/38143, HMS Egmont. Born 17 August 1898 at Newtown, Montgomery to John and Susan Morris, of 10 Dysant Terrace, Newtown, Montgomeryshire. Enlisted 4 May 1915 on HMS Impregnable occupation prior to enlistment, whitesmith (silver) Died 8th January 1918 aged 19 years from meningitis in Royal Naval Hospital, Malta. His father was informed of his death the next day.

At rest in Plot C Grave 362 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
