Private 240654 Frederick George NEALE, 13 Platoon, "D" Company, 1st/5th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment, formerly 2606 Gloucestershire Regiment. Missing in action during the Battle of Pozières, 16 August 1916. He was born 4 October 1884 at Sherston Magna, Wiltshire to John and Ellen nee Robbins. 1891 residing with his mother at Court Street, Sherston Magna. His father John was granted a war gratuity 14 November 1917 revised 11 October 1919. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
