Frank TIPLER

Frank TIPLER. Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class 268101, Royal Navy on H.M.S. Diana died 3rd March 1921. Born on the 27th February 1872 at Crewe. Served on his first ship, on the 3rd April 1894, last service date was 28th July 1919 on H.M.S. Diana and was demobilised. He was the son of Edwin and Mary Elizabeth of (1881) of Monks Coppenhall, Crewe. He was employed by the London and North Western Railway Coy on the 22nd November 1886 aged 14 as a fitter. In 1911 he was serving on H.M.S. Cameleon berthed at Devonport. At rest in Crewe Cemetery, Cheshire.
