TEAL Frank George. Gunner 121064, 386 Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery
Who died whilst serving his country at the Eastern General Hospital, Brighton on the 12 June 1917 age 19 Son of George and Elizabeth Ann of 10 Cheltenham Road, Stratton Glos formerly of Scrubditch Cottage, North Cerney, Glos. Brother of Henry Thomas who also fell. Some notes from what remains of his army records. He joined the Royal Garrison Artillery at their Depot, Citadel, Plymouth aged 18 and 3 months, occupation, under carter. He was posted to Queenstown Ireland (now called Cobh) County Cork 14th October 1916. With the Irish Command Siege Depot 1st February 1917. Taken ill and died of tubular meningitis at the Eastern General Hospital, Brighton. At rest in St Mary Magdalene Churchyard, Baunton, Gloucestershire.
He had served only 207 days
