- BATES Frank Edwin. Marine CH/X 102809 Royal Marines. Died 3rd January 1943 aged 32 from injuries received in a motor accident at Parkhurst, Isle of Wight. Born 6th December 1910 at Nottingham to Arthur Edwin Ada Emma, nee Folkett of West Bridgford, Nottingham and husband of Elsie of Nottingham. In 1911 he was living with his parents and siblings at 4 Bleasby Street, Nottingham. At rest in Nottingham Southern Cemetery, Nottinghamshire
