Lance Corporal 2786 Frank Andrew WILLIAMS. 10th Gloucestershire Regiment. Report missing in action later reported killed in action of 18th August 1916 aged 32. Son of Andrew and Emily Jane nee Fry of 1 Mansfield Place Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire, husband of Susan Mary Ann nee Price who he married on the 19 August 1907 at Charlton Kings, Gloucestershire. He had previously served with the 2nd Gloucestershire Regiment as Private 6421. Joined up aged 18 and 11 months at the Gloucestershire Regimental Depot at Horfield, Bristol, occupation groom. He was in South Africa from the 8th November 1902 to 6th June 1904 He was discharged army on the termination of his engagement with the colours for 12 years on the 30th May 1914 Whilst in stationed at Bloemfontein South Africa he was admitted to hospital on the 5th May 1903 with scarlet fever. Discharged fit for duty on the 27th June 1903, 54 days in hospital.
His WW1 record did not survived the blitz over London in WW2. At rest in Combles Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme France.
