BIRCH Rupert Pte 21436 9th Royal Fusiliers Killed in Action, 10 July 1916 age 22. Son of Joseph and Ellen of Foxt. Buried in Puchevillers British Cemetery, Somme

Pte Thomas Leese. death in action. Son of Mr & Mrs John Leese of Foxt. He was killed on the very morning that the armistice was signed he was married.No other local lad was mention as being killed on that day His mother was called Alice and a brother called Frederick all of New Fields, Foxt (1901 Census)
