- F002 GORDON STEWART BEALES. Leading Sick Bay Attendant, P/MX51056, HMS St. Angelo shore base, Malta. Born 22 August 1913 at Chorlton Lancashire to William Henry and Hannah Stacia Beales, nee Dunbar of Waterhead, Lancashire. Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta of wounds 10th July 1940 aged 26 years following enemy action.

F002 JOHN HENTON. Able Seaman P/JX144274, HMS St. Angelo, shore base, Malta. Formerly Able Seaman J17762. Born 16 March 1895 at Sleaford Lincolnshire to Ethel Mary Henton, (spinster) and stepson of George William Proctor, of New Leake, Lincolnshire. 1901 his mother, stepfather and stepbrother were residing at the Brickyard Hougham, Lincolnshire, John was not with them. 1901 aged 6 years he was residing with his widowed grandmother Winifred Henton at Culverthorpe, Lincolnshire, his grandfather had passed away by 1901. 1911 aged 16 years boarding at the home of William and Ellen Holm at Culverthorpe, Lincolshire, occupation farm servant/labourer. He enlisted into the navy 12 June 1912 on HMS Ganges II as Boy 2nd Class, civilian occupation, farm servant (labourer). At the age of 18 years he enlisted 6 March 1913 for a period of 12 years. His last ship was HMS Victory I, which he left 7 December 1925. He re-entered into the navy 14 March 1935 as Able Seaman (Pensioner) P/JX144274. Died 14th December 1942 aged 47 years of cardiac failure.
1916 his stepfather joined the Lincolnshire Regiment as Private 30127. Discharged 1 August 1919

F002 JAMES DIGBY BECKETT. Able Seaman P/J102774 Royal Navy on HM Submarine Thunderbolt. Born 6 February 1904 at Hull, Yorkshire to Edwin and Sarah Emma Beckett, nee Barrass. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 27 Pretoria Street, Hawthern Avenue, Anlaby Road, Hull. Husband of Frances Ada Beckett, nee Davison of North End, Portsmouth. Enlisted 27 February 1929 on HMS Dolphin. Civilian occupation, ship’s fireman. Died at General Hospital, Malta 17th January 1943 aged 38 years from coronary thrombosis following acute tonsillitis.
