F172 WALTER FULLER, Lieutenant, General List attached to 1st Garrison Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry, Born 1874 at Thatcham, Berkshire to William and Emma. 1881 residing with his parents and siblings at Sonning, Berkshire. On the 23 March 1889 aged 18 years and 3 months (correct age 15) he joined the Militia, 3rd Royal Berkshire Regiment as Private 2748, occupation groom. 1901 his parents and his siblings were residing at Grunge Cottage, Hurst, Berkshire. Walter was not home when the census was taken. Residing next to his parents, Hurst Cottage, was his wife to be and her sister Agnes. Charlotte occupation was domestic servant, cook aged 26 years. 1903 he married Charlotte Mary Payne in the registration district of Easthampstead, Berkshire. Husband of Charlotte Mary Fuller, nee Payne. 1911 residing with his wife and children in married quarters at The Barracks, Mitcham Road, Croydon, his rank, Sergeant Major 2817 with the 4th Berkshire Regiment. He was discharged from the regular army on the 23 January 1918 in consequence of being appointed to a Commission as 2nd Lieutenant, Quartermaster as of 15 February 1918. He died in Military Hospital, Cottonera, Malta 3 January 1920, aged 46 years. At the time of his death his wife and children were residing at The Varracks, Mitcham Road, Croydon, Surrey. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was The Barracks, Mitcham Road, Croydon. Died in place and date stated. His effects went to his widow who moved to 27 Long Lane, Croydon, Surrey. His wife died 4 February 1925 at Uplands, 54 Ashburton Road, Croydon, her resident prior to death was 27 Long Lane, Croydon.
