F113 John Dennis WARREN, Chief Petty Officer, R/296671 Royal Navy on Cable Ship Personnel, HMS St. Margaret’s. Born 23 October 1925 at Podington, Bedfordshire to Annie Warren, spinster of Podington, Bedfordshire. Died at Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 20th June 1947 aged 21 years of toxic asphyxia after being extricated from the hold of the naval cable ship, St. Margaret, where he had been overcome by fumes on Friday attempting to trace a blockage of the waste pipe, he never regained consciousness. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence was 8 Gold Street, Podington, Bedfordshire. His effects went to his mother Annie, who was a spinster.
