F001 CHARLES JOHN MCLAUGHLIN. Chief Engine Room Artificer P/M36164, HMS St. Angelo shore base, Malta. Born 10 March 1905 at East Ham, London to John and Harriet McLaughlin, nee Pearl. 1911 residing with his parents and his siblings at his grandparents Arthur and Jane Pearl at 412 Victoria Road, Aston Manor, Warwickshire. Enlisted 29 January 1921 as apprentice Engine Room Artificer. When he became 18 years, he enlisted for 12 years 13 March 1923. Promoted to Chief Engine Room Artificer 1 June 1940 on HMS St Angelo. Married 22 June 1931 aged 26 years to Florence Lilian Pippitt. Occupation sailor on HMS Portsmouth. Died through enemy action 11 June 1940. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England 5 Carlton Avenue, Handsworth, Birmingham. Died 11 June 1940 on war service. His effects went to his widow.

F001 JOSEPH PATRICK BAXTER. Stoker 1st Class D/KX127841 Royal Navy on HMS Badsworth. Born 20 August 1913 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Died 16 June 1942 aged 28 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta. Son of Robert and Mary Baxter, husband of Margaret Baxter, of Paddington, London.

F001 HERBERT GLEDHILL. Stoker 1st Class, D/KX96306, Royal Navy on HMS Badsworth. Born 4 February 1920 in Barnsley to Herbert and Hannah Gledhill, of Barnsley, Yorkshire. Died 16 June 1942 aged 22 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

F001 AMOS JENKINS. Leading Stoker, D/KX79699 Royal Navy on HMS Badsworth. Born 12 August 1909 at Ynyshir, Glamorganshire to Amos Thomas and Hilda Jenkins. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 30 Robert Street, Ynysybwl Glamorganshire. Husband of Constance F. Jenkins, of Blaengwynfi, Glamorgan. Died 16 June 1942 aged 32 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

Died 16 June 1942 aged 26 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

Died 16 June 1942 aged 25 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

F001 WILLIAM JOHN SPILLER. Stoker 1st Class, D/KX101188, Royal Navy on HMS Badsworth. Born 25 July 1902 at Barnsbury, London. Died 16 June 1942 aged 39 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta.

Died 16 June 1942 aged 24 years on board his ship when it suffered major structural damage after she detonated a mine whilst entering Grand Harbour, Malta. Son of Samuel and Margaret Jane Thomas, of Maesllyn, Cardiganshire.

All at rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot F Grave 1.
