F095 ALBERT EDWARD BOWMAN. Able Seaman D/J93835 Royal Navy on HMS Avon Vale. Born 9 November 1902 at Plymouth Devon to Frederick Charles and Emily Anne Bowman husband of Sylvia Rosella Bowman, nee Jones of Paignton, Devon. Enlisted 9 December 1918 on HMS Impregnable as Boy 2nd Class, Civilian occupation, labourer. Died 26 March 1942 aged 39 years as the result of a bullet through his throat, as the result of enemy action. His widow died 1995.

Frederick Charles BOWMAN fought and died in the Great War. He served as Private 14978, Coldstream Guards. Enlisted at Paignton, Devon, killed in Belgium 17 June 1916. On the 14 August 1916 his widow was granted a war gratuity, revised 30 August 1919.
