F017 OSKAR FRANCISZEK ZIELINSKI. Flight Sergeant/ Air Gunner P/781151, Polish Air Force attached to 138 Squadron, Royal Air Force. He was born on April 10, 1919 in Zaolzie, in Lutynia Dolna, then known as the German. He began his adventure with aviation inspired by the achievements of our pilots, when the team of Jerzy Bajan won the Challenge competition organized by the Polish Aero Club in 1934. Two years later he completed his first gliding course in Goleszów near Cieszyn.
He was crew in a Halifax bomber which crashed 17th December 1942 near RAF Luqa, Malta, aged 32 years.
