Extended Description: CRANE Evi John Major Quartermaster,3rd Battalion, Royal Garrison Regiment, born 22nd March 1851, died 23rd May 1904 at Imtarfa aged 54 and 6 months. Previously with the King’s Royal Rifle Corps and QMS with the 60th of Foot.
He was promoted Quartermaster 15th March, 1879. Served in expedition to Manipur, 1891. Retired nth January, 1899. Recalled to service in 1900. Joined 2nd Battalion Royal Rifle Reserve. Appointed to Royal Garrison Regiment 10th May, 1901.

At rest in Plot 1. Row 1A. Grave 1. in Imtarfa Military Cemetery, Malta
