Albert EVANS of Freehay who fell in action, on the Somme 17 September 1916, 41
Private 4638, 1/5th Durham Light Infantry He was the son of George and Eliza of Freehay, Staffordshire and brother of Bertie Charles who also fell. He is commemorated a family memorial in Freehay churchyard, Staffordshire and on the Thiepval memorial, Somme, France
