Nursing Sister Eva Gladys BEARD Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service
Born 11 October 1888 to Andrew James and Florence Emily Beard, of The Rocks, Tean, Staffordshire. 1891-1911 residing with her parents and siblings at Lower Tean, near Cheadle, Staffordshire. 1911, occupation, working at home.
Trained as a nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital for three years.
Joined Haslar Naval Hospital 3 November 1919. Died 14 March 1920 aged 33 at Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar of influenza and broncho pneumonia.

Joined up 22 December 1916. Posted to Royal Naval Hospital, Haslar 15 May 1917. At date not recorded she was at Roehampton Air Station 8 November 1917 posted to Chatham Royal Naval Hospital, Kent as her presence in no longer necessary at Roehampton. She was demobilised 31 March 1919, but re-joined later that year.

At rest at Upper Tean Christ Church churchyard, Staffordshire.
