Ethel CARTER. S.R.N. Sister TANS P269979.
Born 1913 in Middlesborough, to Born 1913 to Francis and Mary Ann Carter, of Redcar, Yorkshire.

She was mobilised for military service with the T.A.N.S. in January, 1941.

Murdered in Kohima 19 February 1944 aged 31.

Death certificate gave cause of death. strangulation by some person or persons unknown.

Wills and Admin, Ancestry -
Ethel CARTER of The Kennels, Warren by Road, Redcar, Yorkshire, spinster, died on date stated on war service. Her effects went to her father, estate foreman.

At rest in Kohima War Cemetery India.
