Private PLY/2446(S) 2nd Royal Marine Battalion, Royal Marine Light Infantry died of wounds in France 4th April 1918 aged 24. Son of William & Sarah Ann of 26. Lawley Bank, Dawley, Salop, Shropshire.

Commemorated on his parents memorial at Dawley Baptist Chapel Cemetery, Dawley, Salop, Shropshire and is buried at Etaples Military Cemetery, France
